Hi there! I am Mimi, a 30-something citizen of the world. Welcome to my blog, a guide through advice, anecdotes, and stories of my journey from university to navigating the corporate world.
I thought I’d start off by explaining the reason for creating this blog. Mainly, I have a passion for learning and for personal development. I am one of those people that believe that you can learn from other people’s experience. Therefore I have this great need to exchange information, advice, and experiences with my peers.
Since graduating from University, I have worked in the field of Business Development in various positions that have allowed me to steadily grow my career and travel the world. All that through many trials and tribulations but ultimately with great fun!
Over the years, I‘ve kind of become the go-to person for my friends, family and even colleagues for advice and support on their respective journey to either get their first job out of university, find a new job, prepare for a job interview, handle a difficult situation at work, or simply review resumes.
However, nowadays, I feel like we are bombarded with messages glorifying owning your business as the only form of entrepreneurship and of professional fulfilment. Hashtags like #entrepreneurlife, #bosslady, #myownboss, are flourishing, and it feels like it’s all about side hustling. Side hustling is not a path that many of us can take or want to take. So I am humbly creating this platform to discuss my journey and give some advice and perspective along the way.
Here is, The Nine to 5 Hustle!
